In response to a recent Ocean City Fairness in Taxes (FIT) letter regarding the potential vacation buyout payment for now former school superintendent Dr. Matthew Friedman, board solicitor Michael Stanton sent an email on Friday, June 30, 2023, stating that he recommended not to pay Dr. Friedman his vacation buyout check until “the investigation into Mr. Friedman’s attendance history is complete and discussed with the Board of Education.”
