As many already know, Ocean City Fairness in Taxes is circulating a petition for a Public Referendum on the purchase of the Klause property at 16th and Haven. We believe it should be purchased, but the city is paying $2.5 to $3 million too much for the property. We must have 400 signatures by October 10, 2018.
We are getting many signatures and will have a firm update by tomorrow night.
Thanks to everyone who signed our petition and to all the petition circulators! We have met so many wonderful people who agree with us and are grateful that we are watching out for the welfare of the city and taxpayers!

Hi July… We did get the singatures, but the city wants to raise the bar to 15%… We are talking to our attorney tomorrow AM… Truth is that we have successfully exposed the city as being not totally honest with several fact ont he case. Not to mention that they knowingly gave Klause a breask on his taxes for 3 years, allowing him to pay on an assessment of 3 million rather than the residential price of 7-8 million.
