Based on information obtained by Ocean City Fairness in Taxes (FIT) through Open Public Records Act (OPRA) requests and research, it is our strong belief that Dr. Friedman’s attendance record does not fairly represent his status for his first six (6) days of employment in the district. Specifically, he was not at a professional development event so the use of professional leave is inappropriate for attendance purposes and would allow Dr. Friedman a larger vacation payout then he would be entitled to (roughly $4400 more) at the end of his brief tenure in Ocean City.
FIT plans on utilizing all means available to continue to review Dr. Friedman’s record in order to develop a full appreciation of his performance while in the Ocean City School District.
